Travel to Peru in February  to review a completed stage of a water project.

Sonora Sunrise along with other clubs in District 5220 supported a water project in El Guyabo, Peru. Travelers will be going to Peru to review the completed water project, and also look at other communities in the local area to assess the possibilities of further water projects. This will be a great opportunity for other clubs in District 5220 to get involved in an International Water Project. There have been a number of people in the district that have expressed a great interest in this trip.

District Clean Water Task Force Chairmen Milt & Rosie Camp have reserved 15 seats on TACA Airline at $537 round trip all taxes included.

During this trip Rotarians will be working with The Rotary club of Chincha, Peru and Under One Sun of Sacramento, Ca. Under One Sun is an NGO; in partnership with Rotary clubs in district 5220 they were instrumental in planning and helping implement the very successful water project in El Guyabo. They have developed a great infrastructure in the area and the community is ready for phase II, which is the sanitation project.

Of the 15 seats 9 have already been spoken for.  A possible side trip to Machu Picchu is under consideration. Tentative dates are February 14 through 21 or longer.

If you are interested in this trip please email or call Milt or Rosie Camp.

If you need the username/password for Members Only to look up contact information on Milt and Rosie, talk to your club president, club secretary, or any member of the governor's cabinet.
