Clubs to set 2004-05 Annual Programs Fund goal at PETSFollowing the International Assembly in Anaheim, California, USA, the first of the 2004-05 Presidents-elect training seminars (PETS) will begin. As part of the new Every Rotarian, Every Year effort, the district governors-elect and their district trainers will instruct club presidents-elect on setting a club goal toward achieving at least US$100 per capita goal for the Annual Programs Fund by 2005 — an overall goal that was unanimously endorsed by every district at the 2001 Council on Legislation. Through the goal-setting process, it is hoped that every Rotary club will take ownership of its annual giving goal and encourage members to support the Rotary Foundation and its vital humanitarian and educational programs. At PETS, each club president-elect will receive a 2004-05 Club Goal Report Form to complete and submit to his or her district governor-elect no later than 7 May 2004. The forms for each club have now been shipped to the district governors-elect along with PETS supplementary materials to await their return home from Anaheim. Club Goal Report Forms can also be obtained from the Download Center (in the Rotary Foundation's Fund Development, Annual Programs Fund section) on RI's Web site in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The hard copies that will be presented at PETS are in triplicate form, with the top (white) sheet to be sent to The Rotary Foundation, the middle (pink) sheet to be submitted to the district governor-elect; and the third (yellow) sheet - with instructions on the back — to remain with the club president for the club's records. District governors-elect should collect the completed forms, total all of the club goals, and send the club totals and the top (white) sheet of the completed forms to the RI Secretariat by fax: 847-328-5260; or mail: Rotary International — FN500, One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., Evanston, Illinois 60201, USA, no later than 10 May 2004. The Foundation Trustees will use the club goal information to announce the Worldwide Annual Programs Fund Goal at the 2004 RI Convention in Osaka, Japan |
