Objective: To understand the basic principles of the classification system which is unique to Rotary clubs and to understand the requirements and rules of Rotary membership.
1. Attendance and participation in a club service project does NOT qualify as a make up.

2. A member will receive credit for a make up if he/she is present at the usual time and place of a regular meeting of another club for purpose of attending such meeting, but that club is not meeting at that time or place.
4. Persons elected or appointed to public office for a specified period of time are eligible for active membership under the classification of such office.
5. Honorary members are exempt from the payment of admission fees and dues, have no vote and are not eligible to hold any club office.
8. If circumstances warrant, the board may correct or adjust the classification of any members.
9. In determining a club’s classification limitation, members who are retired shall NOT be included in the total number of members from a classification.
10. A club member’s absence is excused if the member is the current district governor.
