District Interact Meeting—There will be a meeting on August 23^rd at 6:00pm in Escalon to discuss possible District 5220 Interact activities for 2007-08 and future years. Those invited to attend are Interact Advisors (Rotarians and school officials), those interested in learning more about Interact and/or starting an Interact Club in their area, or Rotarians interested in youth activities.  See attached letter for more information and a list of possible agenda items for the meeting.

Interact is a Rotary Sponsored youth club program for high school students. Like Rotary, Interact Clubs are focused on service. Each Interact club has it's own officers and the clubs decide for themselves what their programs will be for the year. Some Interact clubs are associated with a specific school, and others are community based, serving all high schools in the area. A  faculty member assists the club as a school advisor and a Rotarian from the sponsoring Rotary Club acts as a Rotary Advisor. The Interact Clubs in District 5220 have their own District conference and elect their own District Officers.
