All Rotarians with an interest in astronomy, space exploration, or related field are invited to join the fellowship at no cost by submitting this online IFRAA Membership Form All members will be added to  the IFRAA Membership Directory, and the IFRAA News announcement email group.    Members will be invited to also participate in IFRAA discussion email group.  For more information on the history of this fellowship visit the IFRAA History page.

You don't need a telescope or any experience to join the fellowship, all you need is an interest in astronomy or space exploration.   To see hundreds of great images from space, visit the NASA "Picture of the Day" archives and the many other fascinating astronomy related web sites on the IFRAA Favorite Links.

Check the IFRAA Events page to see upcoming events and who is planning to attend.  The world wide fellowship also expects to support projects such as student summer camps on astronomy, exchange programs, scholarships, and recognition programs.  For more information or questions, contact the volunteer IFRAA Board of Directors.

Another project supported by many IFRAA members is the SETI@HOME (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) which is the world's largest distributed computing project supported by 3.7 million people from 0ver 225 countries around the world.  Through this project at UCLA Berkley, anyone with a computer connected to the Internet can help analyze data from radio telescopes around the world.  See the SETI Rotarians Group members and their progress.  The SETI project goal is to identify signals from other intelligent life in the universe.  This goal seems very much in line with Rotary's goal of world understanding and peace.  To quote a line from Carl Sagan's movie  "Contact", if there is no other life in the universe, then it seems like a terrible waste of space.

Join the over 90 IFRAA Members from over 25 countries around the world on this exciting and fun Rotary voyage helping to promote world understanding and peace as we look beyond to potentially spread Rotary through the universe.  See a graph of the world showing IFRAA membership by country.

The International Fellowship of Rotarian Amateur Astronomers is a group of Rotarians dedicated to promoting astronomy and space exploration as an opportunity for fellowship and service. This fellowship operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International.
