Africa Message

Attached are several of the photos taken while the GSE team was herein Kisumu. Unfortunately we did not have much time with them. We were able to introduce them to Agape, have them enjoy some time getting to know some of the children who remain on the street and went to see the Social Services Director.

Christina had not been able to do any exchange to date so we dropped her at the YWCA. She was delighted to have the experience as she works for the same organization in the US. The team returned late Sunday exhausted from the trek through Western. They wanted some private time so they walked to town, spent the morning catching up on their E-mail. We also took them to lunch at the Chinese Restaurant.

After a brief stop at the kiosks for some soapstone and wood carving, we dropped them at the airport for their 4:00 flight to Nairobi. While at the kiosks, they were able to be with us as we rescued another boy from the street and they were pleased to be involved in this. I am extending my thanks to all the Rotarians who came to the welcome last week at Simba for them. It was a wonderful event. Special thanks to Koni, Zool and Chairman Nasrulah for their hard work.
