DISTRICT SIMPLIFIED GRANTS

DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 1, 2011 The District Grants Committee is directly allotting funding for District Simplified Grants for the 2011-12 Rotary Year to individual clubs. This was a decision made to give clubs a bigger say in how their contributions to The Rotary Foundation are spent when the funds are returned to the District as District Designated Funds (DDF). The District is eligible to spend 20% of these funds on District Simplified Grants.

Each 2011-12 club president was informed of the amount that their Rotary Cub will have available for a District Simplified Grant in 2011-12 based on their club’s average annual contribution to The Rotary Foundation from their club members during 2008-09, 2009-10 and the first eight months of 2010-11.

Here are the steps to utilize the District Simplified Grant funding:

1)      Download a copy of the DSG application and requirements from this page.

2)      Choose a project that meets the requirements; it can be a community project or international project.

3)      Complete the application and send it by September 1, 2011 to Paul Spencer, District Simplified Grants Chairman.
