YOUR TEAM MEMBERS FROM 5220....., UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL:

Sarah Crowe is a twenty-eight year old Sacramento native. She works seasonally at the Ahwahnee Hotel, and spends her summers managing a back country retreat in the High Sierras of Yosemite. Sarah has many interests including photography, traveling, cycling, reading, cinema, and theater.

Lisa Millegan is the arts writer at The Modesto Bee, an 85,000-circulation newspaper in Northern California.  She covers theater, classical music, dance and visual arts.  She grew up in New Jersey and Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon Honors College, earning a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1992.  She has been married for seven years to Joe Scalero, an advertising agency owner.  She enjoys traveling, reading and listening to all kinds of music.

Jim Bacon is a Planner in Yosemite National Park where he helps the park to plan for and manage visitor use.  Prior to arriving at Yosemite he served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, Central America.  Previous work experience also includes parks and recreation administration and environmental and outdoor education.  His educational background is in natural resource planning and creative writing.  Originally, he came from a small town outside Buffalo,  NY.  His personal interests include outdoor pursuits, the arts, and travel.

Brian Ceraban is an Architect living and practicing in Sonora, California.  He grew up in the Bay Area, studied Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley, and moved with his wife and business partner, Genevieve, to Sonora to live in the beautiful land of the Sierra foothills.  Genevieve and Brian are the parents of a 4-year old son and an 18-month old daughter, and they love to hike and camp.  They enjoy spending days exploring the beauty of the Yosemite backcountry, as well as the other wilderness areas in the Sierra mountains.

Carol Kennedy was born and raised in Silicon Valley (before it was called that).  She attended San Jose State University majoring in Interior Design and Art, and minoring in English Literature.  She earned her teaching credential in 1971 and moved to Madera where she taught elementary school for Madera Unified School District for 32 years.  She earned a Master of Arts Degree and a Reading Specialist credential in 2002 at Fresno State University, and taught at Fresno State for four years.  She is married to PDG J. Gordon Kennedy and they have four children and seven grandchildren.  She is a member of Madera Rotary and has been a member of Rotary for 12 years.
