DISTRICT SIMPLIFIED GRANT (DSG)

2008-2009

The District Simplified Grant for D5220 Clubs is available at this time. The DSG is designed to support activities and humanitarian endeavors within individual Rotary Districts. The grant enables Rotary Clubs to use a portion of their District Designated Funds (DDF) for community projects. A limited number of $1,000 grants will be awarded this year. The sponsoring Club or Clubs must contribute a minimum of $1,000 toward the project when approved. DSG's must be forwarded to Mel Hansen, Grants Select Committee Chairman, by September 1, 2008

There are three important changes in the DSG program for this Rotary year.

  1. DG Janine McClanahan has placed a major emphasis on YOUTH. Preference will be given to Clubs that have DSG projects supporting children.

  2. DSG projects must be completed by May 1, 2009.

  3. D5220 matching grant funds will be awarded AFTER  the project has been completed, final report and receipt(s) forwarded to Mel Hansen.  District Treasurer Dave Mantooth will forward the $1,000.00 check to the individual Club.
